Your data
Privacy
Last updated 23 October 2026
We don't ask for your name, we don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't follow you around the web. Your saved trips and your chosen airport and station stay in your own browser.
Who we are
Tripsntix is run by Karsten James, in the United Kingdom. He's the data controller, responsible for the small amount of personal data described on this page. For anything about it, email kars771.t@gmail.com.
What we use, and why
Your rough location, from your connection
When you open Tripsntix, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, tells our server roughly where your connection is, to city level, based on your IP address. We use it to pick your nearest airport (and in Britain your nearest station), the currency to show prices in, and where the map starts. We don't log it or store it. We rely on our legitimate interest in making the site work for you.
Your exact location, only if you ask
If you tap Use my location, your browser asks your permission first. Your location is used inside your browser to pick your nearest airport and station and to centre the map on what's near you, and is never sent to us or stored. Only the airport and station codes are kept, on your device. You can turn location access off at any time in your browser's settings.
What stays on your device
Your chosen airport and station and your saved trips are kept in your browser's local storage, so they're still there next time. The view you picked (football, markets or concerts) and whether you've seen the opening animation are kept until you close the tab. None of this is sent to us, and you can clear it at any time in your browser's settings. Tripsntix doesn't set cookies of its own.
Prices and tour dates
To show flight prices, fixtures and tour dates, your browser asks our server for things like airport codes, travel dates and artist names. Our server fetches the answers from Travelpayouts (Aviasales), Ticketmaster, football-data.org, TheSportsDB, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, and exchange rates from Frankfurter. Nothing that identifies you is passed on.
Keeping the site running
Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. It may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots. You can read how in Cloudflare's privacy policy. If we count visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without following you across other sites.
If you email us
We use your email address and message to reply, and keep them only for as long as we need to.
Things loaded from other companies
- Fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address.
- Artist photos on concert trips load from Ticketmaster's image servers.
- Stadium photos on football trips load from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org), run by the Wikimedia Foundation.
- The hotel map on some trips, when shown, is provided by Stay22 and loads from their servers.
Each company's own privacy policy covers what they do with that connection.
When you leave Tripsntix
Buttons to airlines, Skyscanner, Google Flights, Booking.com, Airbnb, Trainline, National Rail, Eurostar, Ticketmaster and clubs' ticket shops take you to their sites. Some are affiliate links, which tell the other site that you came from us, usually through that site's own cookies. What happens there is covered by their privacy policies, not this one.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, and the GDPR if you're in the European Union, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. We hold almost nothing that identifies you, so there's usually nothing to find, but email kars771.t@gmail.com and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Tripsntix is meant for adults planning their own trips.
