Good to know

Questions

How the trips are planned, where the prices come from and how to book.

What is Tripsntix?

Tripsntix finds big football matches, Christmas markets and concerts across Europe, the UK and South America, then lines up the travel from wherever you live: flights from your nearest airport, or trains from your nearest station in Britain, on the right dates, with hotels and official tickets a tap away.

How are the trip dates worked out?

The further you fly, the longer the trip. A short flight runs from the day before the event to the day after, so you're never rushing for kick-off or the encore. A flight of a few hours adds a night, and long haul gives you five nights so the flight is worth it. Christmas market trips run Friday to Sunday, with extra nights from further away. Train trips in Britain go on the day and come home the next morning.

Where do the prices come from?

Flight prices are the cheapest fares other travellers found on Aviasales in the last 48 hours, so book soon if one looks good. Concert prices come from Ticketmaster. Football prices are each club's own published prices for its cheapest seats or standing. Train fares open on Trainline or Eurostar, which show the cheapest fares for your dates.

Where should I buy football tickets?

From the home club's official ticket shop. Every football trip on Tripsntix links there, never to a resale site. Clubs can cancel tickets bought from unofficial resellers and refuse entry at the gate. For the biggest games, members usually get first pick, so general sale can be limited.

Can I go by train instead of flying?

From anywhere in Britain, yes. UK concerts, Christmas markets and football come with a train from your nearest station. Eurostar from London St Pancras reaches Paris in about 2h20, Brussels in about 2h and Amsterdam in about 4h, and Cologne, Antwerp and Bruges are one change away. Tap Train on any trip to see the journey.

Can I do two events on one trip?

Yes, that's what Combos are for: a match and a concert, a concert and a Christmas market, or two games in nearby cities. A combo only appears if you can actually do both. The events are on different days, or there's time to finish one and travel to the next. A match blocks out 45 minutes before kick-off to two hours after, and a concert the whole evening.

Which airports can I fly from?

Any airport with scheduled flights, anywhere in the world: type your city or the airport code. Big cities like London, New York and Paris also have an any-airport option. In Britain you can go by train instead, from 38 main stations. The site picks the nearest ones from your rough location, prices fares in your own currency, and you can change your airport at any time.

Is the Premier League on here?

Yes, for anyone travelling in from outside England: from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the rest of Europe or further. Tickets come from each club's own site, where members usually get first pick, so check the club's ticket page before you book a flight. The League of Ireland is on here too.

Does Tripsntix cost anything?

No, it's free. Tripsntix links you to airlines, booking sites and official ticket sellers. Some of those links earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you, which keeps the site running.

When do the Christmas markets open in 2026?

Birmingham's opens first, on Thursday 5 November 2026. Then Manchester on 6 November, York on 12 November, Cardiff on 12 November and Nottingham on 12 November. Most run until just before Christmas, and Copenhagen, Edinburgh, London and Tallinn stay open into January.

Which Christmas markets can I reach by train in Britain?

In the UK: Birmingham, Manchester, York, Cardiff, Nottingham, Leicester, Exeter, Edinburgh, Chester, Leeds, Newcastle, London, Winchester, Liverpool and Bath, each with a train from your nearest station if you're in Britain, or a flight from anywhere else. By Eurostar from London St Pancras: Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bruges, Strasbourg and Brussels.

Which big games are coming up?

Dublin derby: Bohemians v Shelbourne, Fri 23 Oct, Valencian derby: Valencia v Villarreal, Sat 24 Oct, El Clásico: Barcelona v Real Madrid, Sun 25 Oct, Dublin derby: St Patrick’s Athletic v Bohemians, Fri 30 Oct and Der Klassiker: Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund, Sat 31 Oct.

How much are Bundesliga tickets?

On the clubs' own ticket shops, standing starts at about €14 to €18.50 and the cheapest seats at about €21 to €57 (2025/26 prices). Standing usually goes to members and season-ticket holders first, so buy as soon as general sale opens.

Which bands and singers are touring Europe soon?

Fontaines D.C. (Irish rock band) from 26 October in Bologna, The Prodigy (English electronic band) from 14 November in Oslo, Muse (English rock band) from 18 November in Berlin, Karol G (Colombian reggaeton singer) from 4 December in Bogotá, Two Door Cinema Club (Northern Irish indie band) from 23 January in Dublin and Rush (Canadian rock band) from 19 February in Paris.

Can I get the train to a concert in the UK?

Yes, from anywhere in Britain. UK dates come with a train from your nearest station and a hotel for the night, then home the next morning. From abroad, Tripsntix plans the flight instead. Coming up: Muse in Manchester on Thu 12 Nov, Muse in Manchester on Fri 13 Nov, Muse in London on Sun 15 Nov, Muse in London on Mon 16 Nov and Fontaines D.C. in Liverpool on Fri 20 Nov.
